I'm excited to announce that my new website is almost ready. On it, you'll be able to purchase online from a selection of my fused glass pieces.
If you'd like to be informed when it goes live, please fill in the contact form at the end of this page and I'll let you know when it's ready.
I create fused glass bowls, coasters and pendants. My background is in designing and making jewellery, but when I started to explore fused glass I was immediately hooked and now work in it exclusively.
What particularly excites me is combining science and art to produce beautiful and unique creations. My process consists of selecting the materials that will react together in a way that will produce a particular colour or effect, using scientific methodology and then, applying creative visualisation of interesting and attractive colour combinations and motifs to it.
Fused glass is glass that has been fired (heat-processed) in a kiln at a range of high temperatures from 593 °C (1,099 °F) to 816 °C (1,501 °F).
I like the sense of excitement and anticipation when working on a new piece. Opening the kiln is often raising the question of whether the outcome is as I had planned it.
Each piece is crafted by hand in my workshop in the South Downs National Park, and I regularly exhibit at shows across the South of England. I also produce bespoke glassware on request.
